•Larger head compared to body size
•Larger tongue compared to volume of the mouth
•More likely to see enlarged tonsils
•Chest wall more compressible
•Larynx location (C3-4) higher than adults (C4-5)
•Larger epiglottis (prone to swelling, obstruction of trachea)
•Slanted vocal cords (posterior more cephalad)
•Narrowest portion of trachea is cricoid cartilage (possible damage to trachea, swelling, etc)
